These places are great for hiking, adventures with furry friends, and beautiful Instagram pictures. We hope you'll follow along with us and take on an adventure of your own. Lastly, we hope you remember, "Mountaineers are Always Free."
Spring is on the way, and there is no better place to visit than the West Virginia Botanic Garden to view the new foliage. Tucked away in the Morgantown, West Virginia, West Virginia Botanic Garden is located on Tyrone Road. The garden boasts over 85 acres and 4.5 miles of trails. The Botanic Garden's mission states, "The West Virginia Botanic Garden at Tibbs Run Preserve seeks to foster learning, inspiration, and well-being through the beauty and wonder of plants, the natural environment, and culturally enriching experiences."
Entrance into the Botanic Garden is free, but donations to the location are appreciated.
If you are looking for a wonderful spring walk, look no further. Whether you are just exploring the garden or interested in taking a hike, this is the perfect place to relax in nature. If you are looking to learn a little about nature, there is plenty of information available at the education and event center. This location is very child-friendly and fairly flat, so it will be a very easy walk.
