Where to Wear

WVU Core Arboretum

This trail can definitely be strenuous for hikers. There is a lot of water that runs through the trails at the Arboretum, however, it is a beautiful walk down to the river. If you get to the Arboretum at the right time, you may even be able to see some wildflowers. WVU Core Arboretum is the perfect place to appreciate our Earth.

Beartown State Park

Like many West Virginia parks, Beartown State Park is made up of a 110-acre natural area. This state park is located on the summit of Droop Mountain in Greenbrier County. As stated best by the website, "This park is known for its unusual rocky formations, massive boulders, overhanging cliffs and deep crevices." Open April to October, this is a spring and summer must.
